Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-06. This explains what personal data Event Manager processes, why, and your rights over it.
Who is responsible
For your account and platform use, the platform operator is the controller. For a specific event, the organizer is the controller of attendee data they collect; Event Manager acts as a processor on their behalf.
What we collect
- Account: email, display name, and profile details you provide.
- Event participation: events you join, session bookings, connections, 1:1 meetings, registration answers, badge/check-in, notifications.
- Payments: for ticket purchases, card data is handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers; we keep order records (amount, status, event).
- Technical: essential cookies for sign-in; minimal logs for security and debugging.
How we use it
To operate the Service: authenticate you, run the events you join, deliver notifications (in-app, email, push — which you can turn off per type), process ticket orders, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
- Organizers of events you join (your participation in their event).
- Processors that run the Service: Supabase (database/auth/storage), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by their own terms and processes data on our instructions.
- Authorities where legally required.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only (to keep you signed in). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can access and export your data and delete your account at any time from Account & privacy — “Download my data” produces a full JSON copy, and “Delete my account” erases your personal data across the platform. Depending on your jurisdiction you may also have rights to rectification, restriction, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. On deletion, personal data is erased; limited records that must be retained for legal/financial reasons (e.g. transaction records) may be kept in anonymized or minimized form.
Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise a right that isn’t self-serve, contact the platform operator listed on your invoice or event.
This is a good-faith template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel and tailor it to your jurisdiction(s) before relying on it commercially.
